About our uniform

We believe that wearing a school uniform promotes a sense of pride, belonging, and equality among our students. Our uniform policy ensures that all pupils are dressed appropriately for learning, representing our school community with respect and professionalism.

Our uniform

All children are expected to wear the school uniform.

Compulsory school uniform consists of the following (Nursery to Year 5):

  • Purple Polo Shirt (pale blue or white polo tops are not allowed) (can be branded or plain)
  • Purple Cardigan or Jumper (can be branded or plain)
  • Grey Skirt, Trousers or Shorts
  • Purple and White Checked Summer Dress (Spring/Summer Term)
  • Dark or White Socks (Grey/Black Tights)
  • Black School Shoes/Black Boots - No Trainers
  • No Jewellery should be worn except a watch and small stud earrings (which can be removed by the child)
  • No Make-up or Outlandish hair styles or colours.
  • Black pumps to wear inside the school

Compulsory Year 6 school uniform consists of:

  • Meadstead Blazer (supplied by school)
  • White Shirt
  • Tie (supplied by school)
  • Grey Skirt, Trousers or Shorts
  • Dark or White Socks (Grey/Black Tights)
  • Black School Shoes/Black Boots - No Trainers

Compulsory PE kit for children consists of the following:

  • White Plain T-Shirt
  • Plain Black Jacket or Jumper
  • Plain Black Shorts, Jogging Bottoms or Leggings (Weather Dependant)
  • Black Pumps or Trainers

PE Kit should be worn to school on PE days.

Earrings - Where earrings cannot be removed (only in the initial 6 weeks, it is recommended that children have their ears pierced in the 6 weeks holiday), we can tape over earrings for P.E. lessons but parents must supply the plasters to ensure there is no allergic reaction. We strongly recommend that children leave their earrings at home on PE and swimming days. Children will not be excused from PE due to having their ears pierced. If children forget to leave their earrings at home, they will be asked to remove them and we will not be held responsible if the earrings go missing. With younger children, it is vital that parents/carers take full responsibility for the removal of earrings at home. Parents may be requested to come and remove the earrings.
